Cathy Runs off Around the World - Part 2 - The Long Awaited Sequal

So I now have insurance!! Hurahh, really handy insurance can be. Especially when it's valid, which mine wasn't I have recently found out, for five months of my eight month long trip, last time I went off with a backpack. Smashing.

Here are some other things I have:
Newly lasered eyes!! I now have better than 20:20 vision, a 65 litre pack, (just the right size), a travel guide, a passport, and a plane ticket. I don't have a sink plug, which is of some concern, but I do have a driving license, although I don't know where it is. I know I will need it to hire a van tomorrow, in order to dump all my worldly possessions in a room for storage.

I have most of my flat packed, and a list of various other things that I do and don't have, but something that I do have, to do, is pack. Watch out Costa Rica, here I come.

Wish me luck!

    Hi Cathy,

Sounds lovely, bustling and sunny, I do like the idea of being wished good day by passing strangers also. People here are beginning to smile a bit as it's sunny.
Have fun with the turtle's save a dynasty of them for me hopefully it will make up for my genocidal attacks on the local slugs-I'm even thinking of keeping ducks to give me a hand with the slimy things.
This weekend I got a sore bum cycling, took my sister to Ikea to buy a chest of drawers and drove it back to hers, and dug over my bean and tomato patch- same as ever then.
    Lots of love to you.
PS hope you aren't catchin' midlife crisis -Bridget Jones- lists (elderly version of teenage angst poems).

Yes it is nice, I do seem to be rather popular sometimes here, and the feeling is entirely mutual. The men are all gorgeous!

Josie is playing slug flinging then? that quintessential English pastime, whats the current record?

      As for mid life crisis:

      1. Am certainly not in mid life crisis, as indicated by smug married types of long term relationships, (who also are Bridget Jonesesq anyway, just in coupled up manner)

      2.  List making tendencies are just sign of highly intellectual and structured thinking

      3. Am, in fact, internationally famous travel writer

      4. (and!) Am assured, receptive, responsive woman of substance!

      (So there! ;0) )
